Tin Human
A nifty recycled project to make with cans is a Tin Can Human. You can take your very own Tin can Man from the Wizard of Oz hanging in your yard.
My neighbor had a Can Man hanging in his one thousand. I thought it was very unique and different. I'd never seen one before but every bit I got to looking at it more than I thought I could make one of those. All I needed to do was circular up a agglomeration of different sizes of cans and buttons for middle's.
And so ane day while talking with my neighbor he mentioned about getting rid of some stuff so he could get the business firm ready to sell. I asked almost the Tin Man hanging in their one thousand. Later that twenty-four hours he said information technology's all yours. He wanted information technology to be a thanks gift for keeping an eye on the firm considering it sits empty while his Mom is a Care Center. So at present that Can Man lives in my dorsum grand. As you can tell by the photo of him it needs a little work and some love just I'm pretty excited to have him. I exercise honey the rustic look though.
Then allow's take a await at what kind of supplies yous demand make this. I've put together some instructions to follow. This is a neat fun project. Anybody seems to beloved the Tin Tin can Man!

Instructions
- Gather your cans and lids; rinse them and remove the labels. Next y'all'll desire to drill a hole in the superlative of each cans including the sardine cans. Also drill a pigsty on each side the biggest tin can beingness used for the body. You can either leave cans at that place natural coloring or spray paint them with an acrylic silver gray pigment to give them a cleaner look. Next assemble bottle caps. You tin can paint them black or go out with there natural artwork on them .
- Yous tin can either drill holes in the cans where the bottle caps would go for eyes and buttons or they can be glued on. If screwing them on you will want to do that before assembling the body together. So you just drill a holes where they would go for optics and buttons then drill a hole in the canteen caps and screw them on. If gluing them on that can exist done in the stop or can merely paint on a face with a magic markers or paint.
- To make a nose is a little tricky and several ways to practise that. Yous can apply a can lid by folding it back and bending it forrard and so drill holes and screwing it on or can simple draw one on a can lid and use wire cutters to cut it out. If you are drawing your face then of course you lot'll draw a nose with a magic marking or paint one on.
- To make ears you'll desire to use small can lids. To practise this brand 2 slits on each side of can used for the head then insert the lids in and glue them in identify with epoxy gum. Tip: I'd use a can open up where it takes the whole hat off that looks like a lid with a lip on it instead of them being cutting with sharp edges. You'd don't want to get cut up making ears or anyone else who looks at your Tin can Man.
- At present to gather the body you will cut a heavier wires to length for attaching the cans. Your first piece of wire should exist long enough to fit through the funnel, head and body. Yous might want to make it into a loop at summit so then when the wire come down you will exist able adhere the legs. So for making the artillery and legs yous will utilise 2 medium and vi small cans. Yous'll wire together one medium can and 1 small tin can to make an arm. Repeat medium / small tin can for another arm. Then with 4 small cans left; wire together two each to make legs. When making legs attach a sardine can on each one to make feet.
- Terminal just not least lets make some hands. Take a tin large tin lid or some heavier metal and draw hands on them. Use wire cutters to cut out the design of them. Again brand sure the metal does non have sharpe edges on them. Drill a pigsty in the peak of hands for attaching a wire to attach to the artillery.
- Now your Tin Man is done! Hang him up and bask!
